We are pleased to invite you to attend Transnet Engineering’s Industry Day, taking place on 12 May 2025, as an official pre-event to the Africa Rail Conference and Exhibition 2025.
This platform will be used to outline the capabilities of TE as an engineering and manufacturing partner on the African continent. We will showcase our capabilities in research, design, manufacturing, refurbishment, and maintenance of rolling stock and port equipment.
This is a significant event for TE, having previously hosted similar engagements to highlight our strengths to various stakeholders. Beyond showcasing our capabilities, this event aims to dispel the perception that TE is merely an assembler rather than a manufacturer of rolling stock and port products. More importantly, it represents a step forward in rebuilding TE’s brand reputation and restoring stakeholder confidence in Transnet Engineering.
We expect a wide range of stakeholders to attend, including customers, suppliers, media, government representatives, railway operators, OEMs, funders, academia, and other delegates attending Africa Rail 2025 (13–14 May 2025).
Key themes to be addressed include TE’s strategic direction, engineering and manufacturing capabilities, strategic sourcing, rail reform, private sector participation, and the Lease-Co initiative.
