One of the three ESKOM incoming transformers at Condale Substation failed this morning. Another one failed last week and has not yet been repaired by ESKOM. Mogale therefore does not currently receive an adequate supply of electricity. Mindalore and Chamdor are two of the areas currently without power.
There is currently no indication of the length of power outage and members are advised to be prepared for quite a few hours. If it goes on beyond 16:00 today Mogale may decide to introduce load shedding.
