INVITATION TO PARTICIPATE IN THE AGOA MADE IN AFRICA EXHIBITION

Dear Member,

The government of South Africa through the Department of Trade, Industry and Competition (the dtic) invites you to the AGOA Business Forum and the “Made in Africa” Exhibition to be hosted at the Nasrec Expo Centre in Johannesburg, South Africa from 01-04 November 2023.

In a bid to translate our political gains into tangible economic benefits, South Africa will be hosting a myriad of events to profile the economic prowess of the African Continent. The “Made in Africa” Exhibition will commence from 2-4November 2023 and the Business Forum will be taking place on the 2 November 2023 in Johannesburg, South Africa.

The DTIC will be recruiting the top medium to large export companies to participate in the “Made in Africa” Exhibition from all AGOA Beneficiary countries to enhance trade and investment relations, promote its industrial capabilities, and expand market access under AGOA. Top ten (+/-10) companies per eligible AGOA countries will be expected to showcase products from their respective countries at the exhibition events.

The Exhibition aims to showcase the commercial capabilities of the African Continent with a particular focus on Agriculture and Agro-processing, Automotive, Mining and Machinery, metals & minerals, Chemicals, Clothing & Textile, Energy, Pharmaceuticals, ICT and Technology Solutions, Financial Services.

In this regard, the dtic will beoffering participants complementary exhibition space booths and a built-up stand in order to promote the respective industries to the various international buyers and potential investors that will be present. Should your esteemed country be interested to participate in the Exhibition, we kindly request confirmation of participating companies, brief company profile ,the sector and product they wish to display, any graphics and images to be used on the exhibition stand, in addition details (names, ID/passport number) of the person(s) that will service, support and be stationed at the stand.

Invitation to a webinar on Provisional Tax

The South African Revenue Service (SARS) will be hosting a webinar on Provisional Tax to help taxpayers and traders fulfil their tax obligations and remain tax compliant.

Provisional Tax is a method of paying the income tax liability in advance so that the taxpayer does not have a large tax debt on assessment.

In line with our strategic objectives of providing taxpayers with clarity and certainty and making it easy for them to comply with their tax obligations, the aim of the webinar is to educate taxpayers on the above-mentioned process.
